I hope to see it in person one day. I really enjoyed riding the orange version.

No doubt the bike needs to end up in a museum!

We need to plan for some riding together this summer. Is Tom still riding his motorcycle? Perhaps he come with you to do some dual sport riding in Idaho?

So at this point all that's left from the original bike is the frame, seat and front forks? Cool.....

Yes, that's about all that is left of the original Zongshen motorcycle.

Tom sold his XT to forum member AtomicWedgie last week, so he doesn't have a DS at this time. That said, he loves riding Lifanda, so he'd be up for that.

If he's going to ride Lifanda, I need to get my act together and get another bike assembled for myself.

Let's move this discussion over to personal messages, and see how things work out.

Glad to see the Zong still trucking along Spud! I may need to look at those Pro Taper bars for the new XL since they look like they have a similar rise to the stock bars. Kinda wish i had known about them when i bought a new bar for the DT...Oh well..I like the flat track look and feel the MSR gives that bike.

Very good frame seat and forks though. The seat in particular is excellent.

Reminds me of an old expression:

'This is my grandfather's ax. My father replaced the handle, and I replaced the head'.

That's a very apt comparison for my YamaZong.

That's the idea; Lafawnduh. My take on it is a mix of Lifan and Honda.
