One thing I noticed and really liked on the vids was the 6'3" guy mounting the bike. I'm 6'1" and i thought the bike might be a tad small for me, after watching the video it appears it won't be. It's going to be easy to mount dismount and for a 60 year old with years of injuries, back, ribs, knees, that's going to be a blessing. I'm getting very anxious for this bike to get here. Hope that seat is as nice as it appears. Looks a lot like the seat on my XT 1200Z and that was a comfy seat.

I agree. My Honda XR650L weighs about 340 pounds, and the stock saddle height was 37 inches. I installed a lowering link, and got the saddle height down to 35.25 inches, but that is still awfully tall for such a heavy motorcycle. After a long day in the saddle, I don't enjoy mounting and dismounting a heavy bike which is so tall. The saddle height for the RX3 is just about perfect.

The saddle looks comfortable to me, also. In addition, I'm sure it would be very easy to add extra foam, or change the density of the foam. Many owners could do this themselves, or have a local upholstery shop do it for them.

Looking at the shock link/dogbone, I'm pretty sure it is made out of steel, not aluminum, as the ADVPulse reviewer speculated.





The texture of the link and the welds looks more like steel than aluminum. A steel shock link/dogbone shouldn't have any problems handling the suspension loads.

I'd put zerk fittings in there to make it easy to grease.

Did you happen to notice the four rubber buttons on the bottom of the seat. By altering/removing them from the bottom of the seat, one can lower or alter the pitch of the stock seat. That's a good deal!!!

You can't do it with the needle bearings. Besides, you really do need to inspect the lower shock linkage periodically. Also, it's not a tough job to disassemble the lower shock linkage once a year.

I suggest you employ a Taobao agent. I have employed the TaobaoTrends agent for three purchases, and I am a satisfied customer.

Using an agent, you can order parts from various Taobao sellers. First you must register with the agent. After a few days, you will be able to place items from Taobao in the shopping cart at the agent's website. After you place your order, you will wait a few days while the agent verifies the items are available. He might also ask you a few questions regarding the color of items, et cetera.

After all questions are answered, you will be asked to pay for the parts, plus a 10 percent fee for the agent's services. After payment, the agent will order your parts, and wait for delivery from the various vendors. After the parts arrive, you can request photographs to verify the correct parts were received, and the items are in good condition. After verification, the agent will place all the parts in a single package, and quote you a shipping fee. After you pay the shipping fee, the parts are sent directly to your residence.

As of now, I have only seen complete front wheels for sale. However, the RX3 might use the same hubs as other Chinese bikes. The RX3 might also use the same spokes, which would be very nice. If this is the case, you won't need to order custom spokes, which will cost a little over $100, delivered. Instead, you could order the 21-inch Chinese spokes, at a greatly reduced price.

I'm getting ready to place a fourth order for some Zongshen 200GY-2 parts. At that time I will also include some RX3 items. However, I am waiting for the RX3 bikes to arrive, so I can verify what parts from other Chinese bikes might also fit the RX3.

Yes, I did notice the rubber bumpers. That is a very nice saddle. The Zongshen RX3 has some quality parts. Zuo Zongshen is definitely moving the Chinese motorcycle industry forward. The Cult of The Zong will continue to grow.

I've put a ton of money into my CRF250 including a new seat to make it into an Adv touring bike. You know what? The seat still sux.
