Great detail! Looking forward to smaller pics.

That's exactly where crud ends up in an XR engine as well. I rebuilt one recently that had a bent cam gear, so the oil pump was full of aluminum; it looked like anti-seize.

That's much better, thanks.

Did you install the new shock yet? How was the fit? What is the displacement now?

Thank you for resizing the photos, TG. You have excellent work on your bike! I like the way you have relocated the battery, and the CDI unit. We appreciate your willingness to take the extra time to document your rebuild with these excellent photographs. If you have time, please post more photos of your FMF TC2 installation. I like your new front tire; what did you select?

Haven't got the new shock installed yet, I'm going to have to drill out the bolts holes to a bigger size on the shock itself, won't be a big deal for that though.

The front tire was the same brand as the rear Kenda. 21'' 80/100 I think.

Installing the exhaust was so quick and simple I didn't even take pictures of the process. I might recreate the process for the sake of documentary.

That is good to know, in itself. Other Hondoid owners have reported the need to bend pipes when installing the FMF TC2.

Oh ya sorry about that, the displacement didn't change at all, I was just making a note for anyones personal future reference that a 200cc Honda ATV head is identical to what I had on there originally. Not sure why it was promoted as all big bore and stuff.

Yep....I'm glad everything lined up, as it should be. Mine was a major pain between pipe bender, torch and swedge! :x
Still real glad I did it though!

thorgram, what engine code is that?
It looks identical to my 162FMJ, having trouble finding a kit for it, I was told it was one of the more rare motors.
Thanks

Where would I find the engine code? I've probably looked right at it before but was in a different zone.

My right or your right? Just kidding.

163FML-2.

It's close but as they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I find it unlikley that it's not a clone of a mainstream engine though.
