ElkSlayer, be glad you got there when it opened! The gentlemen from CSC were very friendly and knowledgable but we arrived at 10:00am and the booth was mobbed when we got there, so we didn't get to spend the quality time with them as you did.

You're 6'1" and Mrs 2LZ is 5"6. I wonder how Zong made the bike so ergonomically correct that it fits a wide variety of frames comfortably??? I'm 6'0 and it was comfortable to me as well.

I got to the CSC booth on Sunday. CSC Ryan and Matt sold a few RX3s from the show floor from the previous two days. I was able to talk to Ryan and Matt eventhough they had a stream of folks asking them questions about the RX3.

Thanks for checking in, Tripwire.

Did the CSC guys take orders for the bikes, or did they actually bring along several bikes to sell?

Wow, seems our little "secret" about a great quality bike at a great price is getting out! I hope Ryan and Matt come back with an empty trailer if they're selling bikes right off the show floor!

I met up with a buddy who rides a BMW R1200GS over the weekend. He's tall - about 6'2", and he fit on the bike fine. He spent a good amount of time looking the bike over and commented on how well he thought it was put together, how thoughtfully the engine guards (not crash guards, right Joe? ) were constructed for ease of replacement, and how well the radiators were protected versus one of his KTMs. Overall, he thought the RX3 was impressive. I agreed.

They did both. One of the bikes that Ryan had on display (equipped with the narrow/low seat, lowering link, etc) was bought on the spot. I was going to sit on it but it was gone by Sunday. Matt told me that there were two bikes sold in Sacramento. Matt and Ryan were also taking orders.

I work with soldiers from 10th Mountain Division here in NY and ride the RX3 into the base for work. I've been getting a ton of questions about it, even more when they realize its 3500 dollars. I wouldn't be surprised if come springtime they get a few more orders to Upstate NY.

Thanks, Spud. Reno is pretty nice for a big city. If you are ever in this neck of the woods, you'll have a place to crash.

Thank you for your kind offer, Jim. Indeed, Reno is a nice city, with a lot of nice riding opportunities in the area.

Buying a bike at the show is a good way to avoid paying the shipping cost. However, I think CSC is still offering free shipping for a limited time, only.

Spud,
According to an earlier Blog entry, the FREE SHIPPING was only offered to the FIRST 15 purchasers after the notice was posted.
So if this is, was, the criteria, and it is still valid, then sales must be slowing down or a lot of "local sales" not requiring shipping?

Tt 230

CSC has posted more photos -- and specs for the TT:
http://californiascooterco.com/blog/?p=18705
I was hoping it would have the same engine as the RX3.
However, it still looks like a fun bike.

Check the Blog Entries and do the math

How many RX3 motorcycles does CSC have to sell before you won't believe sales are "very slow?"
1st question: Check recent Blog entries. Do the research.
2nd question: More than 15 bikes in 30 days on a special, limited time offer.

Thank you
