A lot of decals are available. Which looks nicer: Desert Tan, or Stealth Black with/without decals? :?:

KTM Orange is still leading in the poll.

I'd say the Tan 10:1. The black will look like primer. Look at your SpudShop pic of your bike in tan against the Idaho hills. Is that perfect or what?

Indeed, the Desert Tan seems tailor-made for the American Intermountain West. However, KTM Orange is still running strong in the poll.

Listen to the Force, Young Spud. Don't cave to the majority. We Inland Northwesterners have to stick together.

Young! May God bless you!

I'm still waiting for Weldangrind, AZ200cc, Cal25, DesertRider, et cetera, to comment on the Desert Tan; all those gentlemen have a very good eye for esthetic detail.

I have no esthetic ability. I voted orange Spud, but I think tan would be nice too. Black is too overdone.

Thank you for voting, Allen. I like the orange as well. In fact, I like all the color schemes. I think creating a poll is a fun activity, and I enjoy hearing what others think. As always, thank you for your intelligent, insightful contribution.

OK, dug up a photo of the Vento Mountrack in camo which was a rebadged Zongshen Sierra back in '06--the same time abouts that Qlink had their X-Ranger 200 which was also a rebadged Zong Sierra!

Hey Spud,

I didn't realize you were awaiting further input; too bad that Desert Tan wasn't available when I voted. It's certainly my favourite. I also agree that it would set your bike apart.

My only recommendation is that you stick with the Ultra Flat or it will just look beige, like a K-car.

One good thing about painting plastic is that you can always change it if you don't like it.

Thank you, Culcune. I am not planning to use that color scheme. 8O

Thank you for confirming the opinions of both ChromeDioxide, and Doc, WG.

Thank you for the excellent tip, WG. I just came back from purchasing a spray can of Krylon Fusion Ultra Flat Camouflage Kahki. I never did like the Chrysler K-Cars!

Amen! I can easily switch to orange, or any other color, after experimenting with the Desert Tan. If I decide I really like the Desert Tan, I might consider giving my bike's plastic a professional bedliner treatment.

If you haven't already chosen a color, I encourage you to try Krylon Fusion spray paint, Allen. Krylon Fusion is designed for painting plastic, and I have read many good reports about it. Also, Krylon Fusion is widely available at Wal-Mart, at low prices, in a wide variety of colors. I just bought a can of Krylon Fusion Ultra Flat Camouflage Khaki for $4.44 at Wal-Mart. The can says it contains enough paint to cover 25 square feet of surface area.

I can't report on longevity, but I also picked some up. Did not like the white underbelly of an urban camo quad. Primed in white, finished in matte black, but thinking of purchasing a can of grey and doing a continuation of the camo pattern in the underside.

It was warm this past weekend so I did it outside at around 10 deg C. The paint adhered extremely well. I tried chipping some off with a fingernal but no dice. It could have been me, or the complex radii, or maybe the temp, but it did seem quite thin compared to a can of auto paint for example. Had a couple of runs and I was sure I stayed at least a foot away, but like I said, was probably just me.

I put 2 finishing coats of black on the underside and by the weight of the can, probably could do one more easily.

Oh, I'm the clown that voted red, but I've always liked red and black
