It's a heavy stock muffler to be sure. I added a few pounds with the rack and skidplate but I bet I still have a decent net weight loss.
I wonder how much I'd lose trading the stock rear fender and light for an Edge II...

Does the BRP have a cat in the exhaust? The TBR is aluminum and magnesium. It is pretty light. Andy bought the carbon fiber one which is very cool looking, and I'm sure a little lighter still.

Andy weighed the stock exhaust and he said it was almost 15 pounds!
Now that I think about it my weight savings may be less. I ordered the aluminum can and Andy paid the extra cash for carbon fiber which is likely a little lighter. Either way I'm ahead in terms of weight. ![]() I may add the quieting piece... I do quite a bit of 'mild' trespassing (railroad property, Irrigation District property) where I ride and I don't need the attention... With that said, people have been hunting, riding bikes horses and 4 wheelers on these trails for decades and I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble...

I just got a new muffler on the ranger. Sure nice not having the drone and the leaking exhaust under the cab.
I had a crf150r exhaust on my lifan. It was loud. Great for performance, but commuting got old. The elite is nice and quiet.

Glad the Ranger is fixed too. ![]()

I think the weight is from the double walled steel exhaust needed to retain some of the immense heat generated by the converter. The cat itself is very very light.

I got a call from Andy a while ago. He has my exhaust on. After work I'll go to his shop and we will do both our jet kits. I'll be bring pizza, beer, and 6 M4 0.7X14 Allen head screws.
