I voted to go with the Acerbis handguards next but the rear sprocket will probably yield the best results for the money. The sprocket is probably cheap so why not do both!

Last week, I picked up a set of Acerbis handguards for my 950. I'm hoping to install them on the bike tonight or tomorrow morning. My handguards have the aluminum protectors molded into them. They are more expensive but offer the best protection.

You may want to wait until you install another muffler before you rejet. That way you get the jetting right. Just a thought!

I still have the cutting board in my garage. Never got around to changing it. I had decided on your plan too. Wait and see.

I think the best change is the the 42th sprocket(for a GY-5) if you are doing more than 50% road. You won't get much more top end, just a smoother ride at 55 - 60mph.

Suave,

I had the same problem with rubber all over the rear rim, but it was caused by the drain tube of the carburator, the chain was rubbing on it.

In regards to your Chain guide, it's normal for it to cut in until the rollers hit the plastic, but from there it should take along time to wear out.

Proper chain tension is very important and at a half inch movement yours is to tight.

Andi
