I already bought an upgraded battery, makes no difference, it's dead after one ride.

Try putting a volt meter on the battery when its running.
Your charging system should keep it at 13+ volts

And is it me or are we seeing alot of DLX issues lately from new owners?

Thank you for advice! I have a voltmeter coming today, I admit I've never used one before. Is what you are describing as easy as it sounds? Anything important about the process I should know?

start the bike and set your meter to 20v

while the bike is running touch the red prong to the positive on the battery, and the black prong to the negative on the battery, then the meter will display the output.

in the unlikely chance that you cross short anything and it completely kills the bike DON'T PANIC, it's just a 10Amp fuse blown which you can find down near the battery, there should be a spare fuse already available but I picked up a set of 5 from Ace Hardware for $3

Which battery did you buy? Hopefully you did not replace the stock battery with just another crappy one, some issues like that can have you going in circles, completely confused.

Not sure what a difference it would make but when I got my Brozz I unplugged everything and checked the integrity of the wires and connections on the molex plugs. Then before plugging anything back in I gave the connections a generous dab of dielectric grease.

In regards to the no charge issue. Assuming all connectors are good, then I would suspect the regulator/rectifier. This isn't the first case of a new Hawk owner having this exact issue, and I would suspect there may have been a bad batch of them.

Okay guys, I put my voltmeter to my battery and it drops rapidly until my battery is dead(without riding her, she's just idling) in less than a minute. What the hell is going on?! I've had her a month and she has 30 miles? Please help if you can.

Did you test to see if it's charging now?

Yes I did, just an immediate impact on the problem. The battery was reading 12.3 and once I started it she stayed around 15 and I sat there for a half hour.
