Fluids

Yes, fluid change first thing. I ran my first Brozz with the OEM oil for the first 100 miles or so then adjusted the values. I haven’t changed fork oil yet.

I’m planing on doing things a little different this round. Draining the oil and do the valves first off. Gonna try and change the fork oil, lube the steering bearings, and bleed the brakes.

FYI I just put my 2018 Brozz up for sale on OfferUp.

What are you planning on setting your valve lash at? Are you doing it while the engine is cold or warm? I too will be adjusting my valves out of the box.

Definitely adjusting them cold. Probably 0.4 intake and 0.5 exhaust. It took me awhile to get it right. It was my first time.

Trans gear ratios is the just what it states. The gear ratio for each gear. As you can see 1st to 2nd gear has the highest jump between gears ratios.
This engine will lug 2nd gear quite well and 3rd too. You don’t have to work the shifter all the time.

hi Idle Purr.....valves are set cold......I do mine: intake, between .002" - .003" and the exhaust, between .003" - .005" (note that these measurements are stated in thousandth of an inch) as opposed to what you see posted by Jeff, which is metric.
The gear ratios you ask about are the 5 internal "transmission gear ratios" they are simply shown just for your information...nothing to be adjusted or maintained. Your transmission has two shafts,...an input driven by the crankshaft by way of the clutch,..and an output, which by way of the chain and sprockets,..drives the rear wheel. The ratio is the relationship of one shaft rotational speed, to the other.
As far as the engine oil,...it has been mentioned on these forums, that the Brozz oil is OK for an initial break-in period....but, the general consensus is,...for the price of a quart of oil (Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 for example) and 15 minutes,....you will have good quality oil in it for sure for your break in.

What Cycleway4 is correct. I used the OEM oil last round to break in the engine but oil is cheap. The valves I should have read your post closer. I don’t want to send out incorrect information. I followed the bikes manual and set mine to .05mm on both the intake and exhaust. My feeler gauge has both mm and thousandth on it . Here a pic to clarify.

My two arrived around 9. I was told 11-4 . I was at work in a meeting and missed the call. When I called back the driver told me he dropped them on my driveway!! I raced home and found them by the garage door. A pain to get inside by myself . I had planned on pulling the car out of the garage and having the delivery guy roll them inside. With a tip afterwards of course. I open the boxes and peaked inside. Some paint scraped off on the top of the key bezel . I assume from them being stacked.
Kind of sux they and drop and go with no signature.

Good times! Let us know your opinion between the green and tan Recon. I was on the fence between them for a little while but very satisfied with the Desert Sand color, quite unique, and the only other vehicle i see that shares the color are the Toyota Tacoma's

Will do. I did see a jeep today with the similar tan. The Green does look nice in person too.

I agree with idle_purr on that list of goodies

My Desert Tan Recon is getting delivered tomorrow. Wife made a deal with me. Can't uncrate it until bathroom remodel is done, so I am busting my tail trying to complete that. Big tile job which can only be done so fast as I am both cut and install man (and don't do this stuff everyday).

I ordered a set of the Pro Taper handle bars too. But I thought they looked a lot lower than the stock ones on my 2018 Brozz. I ordered a set of risers.
