If the float sticks on these carbs, the fuel will flow out the overflow tube, something you will definitely notice as it puddles on the ground.

Don't worry about the resistor plug, you won't notice any difference. A D7EA or D8EA will be just fine.

Get a new plug and check the choke out. If it is stuck in the closed position it would be stalling easily.

OK, at this point here's what I would do. Change the spark plug. Make sure you have the key in the ON position and that the kill switch is on. Find a good long hill and get her coasting (clutch pulled in) in 3rd gear at about 10 - 15 mph. Pop the clutch and let the motor spool up. I would try this with the choke OFF. You may have to open and close the throttle to clean out the spent fuel, but it should fire. By the sounds of it, you've been cranking on it for some time, and I am sure it's pretty well flooded. If it does fire, keep it revved up and running for a good 10 - 15 minutes. You'll want to change out the oil ASAP, as you have no doubt washed down the cylinder and I am sure the crankcase has a good amount of raw gas in it. If you still have no go, I am betting on a compression or CDI box issue. Check compression as mentioned above. N If it's OK, the next step would be a CDI box. They can be had on eBay for like $20.00.

Glad You got it going, Sucks You had to do all the extra work...But at least the C-clip is already dropped so you don't have to worry about that anymore.

That's awesome Mick!! I would strongly suggest you warm it up good and drop the oil out before you run it much. Probably lots of gas in there. Gongrats man!!
