I'm sorry, Fish. After saving my stock, Zongshen exhaust parts for years, I finally threw them away about a month ago. I agree with Weld. Buy a used, XT225/TT-R225 exhaust header on eBay. The stainless steel headers are much easier to keep clean, and rust free.

I also think you will enjoy mounting an FMF Universal Spark Arrestor to the Yamaha exhaust header. Your Zong will drop a lot of weight, and the engine will produce more power. Besides that, the FMF silencer/Yamaha exhaust header look great.

The one you posted is less expensive. Always search for the best deal.

Fish, you indicated that the bike was run without a battery; did you order a new reg / rec as well?

No, it doesn't. The regulator/rectifier converts the AC current from the alternator to DC current, which charges the battery. It also regulates the charge going to the battery, by dissipating excess current as heat.

As Spud says, no it doesn't. The reason I asked if you ordered a new one is that you indicated the bike was run without a battery. If so, it's a good idea to change the reg / rec. They're cheap enough.

Zong parts

also In sorting. Out the no spark issue. I've found that the kills witch has been removed. I have. Two. Wires left unhooked under the headline housing. I'm assuming. These are for the kill switch. , but one of them is hot. When the switch is on. Is that possible?

What color is the wire? I will check my ZS200GY-2 wiring diagram.

The kill switch works by grounding a pin on the CDI unit. Neither of the kill switch wires should turn hot by merely turning on the ignition switch.
