Spud has recommended the site as well.
Do you know of a thread that talks about taobao.com, as far as shipping costs, integrity, and time to ship?
Thanks.

Search the forums for "taobao," and you will find several threads.

I've purchased parts via Taobao and Tbtrends.com three times now, with good success.

Well, suffern' succotash, I found the engine on Taobao! Two hrs of figuring out the right words to place in the search In my case, "Zongshen CB200 chain-drive". Chain drive must be OHC (chain driven). The bore and stroke match but the FML is FMJ on the newer engine.

Learning Taobao search skills is worth the effort. An international shipping cost of $68 is not very much for an engine!

I agree Spud, pretty cheap, although that is estimated overseas shipping, so when I get the definite figure, I post it. The machine shop estimated 400.00 just to fix the cylinder head, of which I could not find new. So a whole engine for a fraction of the repair costs of the old engine!

Whoops, I didn't click the right box. The default box is 150cc, mine is a 200cc, 200 CYN above the cost so 32.00 USD more = $382.00. Still cheap as dirt! And yes learning the translated terms for Chinenglish is like a logic game and well worth the effort, considering I have been looking for parts and replacement for a few months. I happened to learn a lot of the Chinese designations are based on the Honda CB or CG, etc., as in CB125.

Well, I'm waiting on www.tbtrends.com before I order anymore parts, so I'm thinking I'm going to try and repair the cylinder head myself. The machine shop I took it to, said about 100 bucks just to extract the intake valve from the head. Thanks Irwin for making nice Channel Lock Pliers! Took about one second to remove it. So much for the local shops around here. The exhaust seat looks ok, obviously there is a hole in the top, where the intake valve wound up. but I'm thinking I can puddle weld the hole and other depressions, and grind to shape. I'll post photos later. Then to seat and lap the valves. If only I could find a local source for the piston.
BTW thanks humanbeing for the overseas source. I'm having a senior moment as to where I set the piston.

The cylinder 'jug' seems to be okay, I'm thinking a quick hone will work out the minor scuffs. It 'feels' pretty good using the fingernail test...still lookin for that dang piston...

I'm very interested in following your cylinder head repairs. Obtaining a new piston on eBay should be easy.

I tried ebay, but didn't have much success. humanbeing helped point me to the right parts from taobao.com They are now 'comfirmed' in my taobaotrends.com basket. I was waiting for delivery from my first order. I received that today, and will pull the trigger on the next order. The whole 'bare' cylinder head including the valve/cam cover is only 43.50USD, so I think that's the better option. I'd like to find a complete cylinder head with the valves, etc., but still can't seem to find one.

I found a new engine on craigslist that a fellow bought for his ATV, and realized it had no reverse. It comes with a complete harness, cdi, rectifier, coil, header, muffler etc. It's a 163FML pushrod for 200.00. I think it might bolt right in? Any transplant thoughts?

Actually, it looks like it came off of a GY200 clone or so. The header, muffler and carb look identical to my Redcat GY200.
