I have ridden my Zong over 200 miles/day many times, Pliskin. However, when the days are short, and the weather cool, it's nice to ride faster with the Honda's 650cc engine. Riding faster allows me to cover more ground, and get home before it gets too cold.

My Honda is running great after I rebuilt the top end of the engine 400 miles ago. The Honda XR engines are very well designed, and very rugged. I wish the Chinese would make a faithful copy of the Honda XR400R!

You're preaching to the choir, brother!

Thanks again for the amazing pics, Spud. Glad to see that the BRP is out of hibernation.

You're welcome, Brother Weld. It snowed today; it was the last gasp of winter's dying breath. Temperatures are heading for the high 40s and the low 50s; the spring melt has begun. In the next few days I will replace my bald, D952 rear tire with a new, Pirelli, MT21 rear tire. I'm getting ready for the mud. 8)

Where are you at with the KDX?

You should always recall the act of BROTHERLY LOVE it was to pass that bike onto you rather than keep it for myself.

I'm going to tear the KDX220 apart when things warm up a little. I replaced the valve stem seals in the Zong, and rebuilt the top end of the Honda's engine last fall. Both of those bikes are now ready for street duty and mud duty on the gravel roads. I now have lots of time to get the KDX ready for the technical trails of summer.

Thank you. I do appreciate your kindness regarding the KDX220, Brother Bill. However, I am reminded of King David and Uriah the Hittite. You have many wives (bikes), so you don't need Bathsheba. :P

Man if that isn't the best and most applicable reference ever.

I am humbled.

Almost 70 here today in the Great Frozen Desert. I'd bet it's a good riding day in Idaho....

Lets all look forward to a Zong centered Ride Report from Brother Spud later today...

My goodness; will you pick some pineapples for me, Brother Bill! 8O Perhaps we will have a high temperature of 55 degrees, Fahrenheit, here in Idaho. However, Brother Andy and I plan to go riding. I do hope to take some photographs.
