I checked out a used 650 about 7 years ago. I really liked the looks but it was too cramped for me (6'). The naked ones were modeled on the Suzuki 1st gen SV650. There wasn't a local dealer and no after market for lowering the pegs so I passed on it and got the Versys. I was looking for new at the time and Suzuki didn't offer the SV anymore. Just the Gladius. The less said about that one, the better.

The Hyosung 250s were on the heavy side because they use the same frame as the 650s. They were overbuilt and durable.

I forgot to post. They replied and they do have free shipping to the lower 48 states.

The GT 250/650 bikes are exactly the same machines other then engine. Same machines between the Naked and Faired. There was also a semi naked model as well that used a half size of the full fairing bike which reused all the lights and etc from that but used the upper triples from the naked. They were essentially a full on clone of the SV and were compatible with a lot of its parts. Later year 650s got EFI and i am not sure when the semi naked was discontinued.

I have to stop watching videos and reading up on these bikes. The more I see the more I want one. I've been finding some good prices on the GT650's and GT650R's. Most are under $4000. What's really crazy is if you go look for used Hyosung bikes that most of the people that are selling them want just as much as a new one or more.

I spoke to Mike with Teamxtremehouston and I can get a 2016 GT250R shipped to my door for $2495. Very tempting.

i called jesse at j & j. seems legit. $2202 out the door price for out of state buyers. 2017 gd250r
has just recently dropped price and going fast!
they do do some shipping on the side but most likely use u-ship.
i may just make road trip
