On my Hawk it's a little longer (if I remember right it's around a quarter inch)from the center of the swing arm bolt to the end of the swing arm, on one side,but the marks are stamped correct. I do still like to take a tape, and run from the center of the swing arm bolt, to the center of the axle though. I know that some people also use the lower stock bracket as a reference too
