Hi new user in need of help plzzzzz......

Hi everyone,
I will start by saying sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread or forum but as I'm new and I'm gonna need awhile to get to know how this site runs lol
Anyways I've just got a 125cc pulse lightspeed 2 scooter, it has a sheng wey pd24jd carb and the problem I have is I have no petrol running from the tank to the carb. There are 2 pipes that come from the bottom of the petrol tank, the top pipe go's to a T fitting which 1 bit go's to the inlet or intake manifold, 1 pipe gos over the carb and into the other side. the bottom pipe coming from the tank go's into a bit under the side of the carb. I would be really grateful if someone can help me out as I ain't got a clue how these are set up, work, or anything else for that matter as I'm new to building engines and bike's and we all had to start somewhere didn't we lol
Many thanks..

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all the replys and advice which is really handy to know, I fixed the problem which was the bottom of my petrol tanks fitting was blocked plus someone swapped the lines over so where the petrol line was ment to go the vacum line was going into that and the petrol going into the vacum line which running over up over the carb and down into the inlet manifold, swapped them around and it started first push of the button. Only thing is now that after running the bike for about 2 mins the exhaust got really hot, my 50cc 4 stroke don't get no where near as got as that when run for the same amount of time, anyone for any idears on what it could be plz? I've seen it happen on a 110 pitbike engine with the timming out on it but with my scooter could it be running to lean?
