I never did much to my gy6, but I put some avon street tires on the stock rims.. They were cheap and effective. I also lowered the rear end by putting in a shorter shock, not the right way to do it, but it worked for me.

I like proper super moto's / motards though.

Looks good. I would consider removing the chainguard for a cleaner look too.

good idea Doc , Passenger peg mounts were amputated .Due to an idea you had before . Anyone have any thoughts on keeping the rear fender Red or painting it black <i also have a blue one . I broke the left panel and fender were they meet . i thought of buying the high bird stuff in the sale section ,but i like the sharp edges in these panels .

I'd paint it black.

I agree but maybe mask off a small red stripe/detail to go along with the tank detail in red.

Another trick is to paint the surface flat black and let it dry properly. Then lay a piece of toolbox / shelf liner (sort of a waffle pattern) over the flat paint, and paint it again with gloss black. It creates depth and the illusion of carbon fiber.

Just a thought.

I was just thinking. The original poster said he has a Roketa db07. If I remember correctly, The Roketa and a Lifan GY5 take the same wheels, so this would pertain to people with either model.

Is there anyway he could swap his 21 and 19 inch wheels for the wheels off of a a Lifan GS street bike? I am unsure of the sizes of these wheels, but it would certainly give more of a motard look.

EDIT: from what I can find on the net, it appears both rims are 18" on the Lifan street bike.

The GS had 18" wheels, but from I could see they were different. This is going off memory of parting them out.
