OK, Jass is Kandi USA (known for their small, durable 150cc and now 200cc go-karts). They will not sell directly to consumers (according to their web site). http://www.kandiusa.com/contact.php

I would be down with a Nduro 18C or 18B.... Can they help make us a deal with a dealer? Also what's the difference between those two bikes? Aside from being able to ride two up?

I am not sure what the difference(s) is/are between the two?

As far as a dealer, let me contact Excalibur Motorsports and see what they can do. Excalibur just recently moved from Chino, Cal. to City of Industry, Cal., which happens to be where Jass is located, and Excalibur already distributes some of the Kandi go-karts, so must be dealing with Jass, already. Like I mentioned earlier, Excalibur has a retail dealer's license, as well, so can also sell directly to the public.

There's lots of interesting bikes on Alibaba. Too bad you just can't order them like on Ebay. I've heard some real horror stories of consumers losing all their money. You need a buyer's agent when purchasing from these people. Look at the specs for the first bike. Doesn't make sense, 21" wheels front and back? One place 400cc another place 250cc. Seven speed? You can't trust anything you read on that site.

Coincidentally, Excalibur Motorsports used to carry them and had all kinds of warranty headaches. If you go to their main site which needs updating, you can still see one of the Xingyue 400 'adventure touring-style' bikes on the site.

Yes, that the big harambe in the room.

Force them to sell you a warranty and live 5 min from their doorstep.

Then they tell you that you didn't change the oil.

So let's settle on a bike now.... Do we want the bashans or do we want to look for a supplier welling to sell us some Hawks or what? (I am starting to see this turn into a discussion....)

Haray 300cc

I agree! I have a Hawk already and would love something with a little more umph and some nicer features. I found this Honda Brazilian XRE300 clone, Haray HY300GY, which actually has some better parts than the Honda, like a water cooled engine, and what looks to be an aluminum swing arm. It has about 27hp which is a good 10-12 more than the Hawk or the Bashan.

Not sure if it could be made street legal here though. Anyone know how to get a motorcycle DOT approved? I can't find much information about it. In the transaction history of the alibaba page there was already one purchase in the U.S. I wonder if a group somewhere has already done a group buy with this bike...

Regardless, I would probably be willing to buy this even with the chance of it not becoming street legal. For $480 and a minimum order of only 8 I think it's a pretty great steal and doable. If nothing else I could try to replace some of my Hawk parts with parts from it. Maybe even the motor! Looks like it uses the same frame. The back is definitely identical to the Hawk.

Or maybe there's another bike option out there with a little more displacement that could work too. Let me know what you all think. I'm open to ideas, and willing to do a group buy.

I like this unit,but I know the pitfalls. https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...102618491.html

I may go Hawk or Magician on a group buy.We just need to make sure our monies are protected, until we have product in hand,or under but.It just depends on when this takes place.X mas is coming up,I'm building a small workshop, plus I just bought out a friends motorcycle shop and motorcycle inventory.
