Hey Vince. We've been good; our Fraser Valley Dirt Riders Family Fun Ride was awesome! It was our first ride on the Beast, and the new front shocks are fantastic. I was really surprised at how that little 200 can haul my butt up hills from a stop. How is your family and how are your machines?

Neo, you did a great job patching up that Beast. Has your son fully recovered from the emotional trauma? Love the new winch!

I'm glad that the experience didn't deter the lad from riding.

The last time I visited Bladeguard in Westbank (we gotta get him on here), he gave me a winch that is similar to yours, although it needs a new cable. I should also pick up a fairlead for it.

I also picked up a rear bag from Cabelas and scrounged a slighly bent rack from the trash pile behind the local Honda dealer. The bag has a seat pad in the center, and it would allow us to rescue somebody from the bush if necessary. I don't think we would ever ride two up otherwise.

Kawazacky, sorry for the shameless thread hijack.

hmmm

not that much really, im still running stock besides a good NGK plug and wire, the kid is done the same, except that he has revamped his exhaust, added a new coil, and did the carb upgrade (makuni)..new 428 chain on both......the kid painted his rims with the "chrome" paint turned out great.

i did replace the tacky looking heat sheilds on the exhaust with a newer handmade type, the kid took his off completely, but i think it looks odd, (such a puney pipe). added a winch, and uhm...decals, crashbar pad and TLC.. i'm planning on doing the same thing...new carb & coil, but ive got an 87 SS carlo that most of my $$ goes into,..besides..if it aint broke...dont fix it..lol..

ive got tons of pics, let me know and i'll post em,..vid to..

Your quads look good, much better than ours.
The only colour they had when we were buying was the gray camo.
I guess I can't complain for the price.
My son wants to mod his.
We have a muffler from a MX bike, and he also wants to do the carb.
Can you offer any details about the carb you used? Jetting changed?
Thanks.

carb

just purchase the makuni carb of the giovanni site $99, it will bolt right up, with the exception of the choke cable, there is no place to mount it on the carb, although my son doesnt seem to mind, he just spills a little fuel down the carb if its cold, not needed in the summer months though..

Thanks for the link Neo. I had forgotten about your rear axle adjuster bridge idea. I'm gonna do that.

Cheers!
