![]() Even though I laugh at a grown man riding a scooter it never bothers me enough (at all really I just think its funny looking) to yell anything, well unless I know him and want to give him a little bit of a ribbing.(all in fun) OHH I suppose there are those out there that would like to force me to be like them and love everyone and everything all the time and sit with them and hold hands in a great big circle of peace and harmony around a camp fire. --- Not ![]() ![]() |

Hmm theres nothing wrong with riding a harley although I doubt I'd ever buy one again (I had a 125cc harley
![]() I have always leaned towards the path less traveled. ![]() All bikers are not the same but we do share the same overall conditions of riding and to look down and criticize other riders because of what they ride is just immature. And yes YES I know I have stated I think grown men riding scooters/mopeds is silly (I do think that ![]() ![]() The people that yell that type of crap at other people are so insecure in who they are that they try to get everyone to be just like them. (and really, who'd want to by like them.....) |

Hey TC, old men on scooters.....lol! We have a bunch of bikes, and we are old. I don't know if I would run out and buy a Suzuki Bergman as I see that as a scooter. It looks just like the new Honda Silverwing and they are both just giant scooters. They are comfy and have all sorts of tricks like ABS and they are fast. They are also expensive and I don't see the sport in them but a bike is a bike. Of all the mopeds and scooters/small bikes we have everyone wants to ride the Elite 80. Men, women, my 19 year old son, etc. Personally I think it looks like a wash machine and wonder how to start the spin cycle. Doesn't really matter what I think though, it is fast, (pipe, carb, etc) comfy for long rides and has air protection to keep your legs and arms out of the wind. I have beat some pretty fast bikes on it up to about 40mph and no one thinks its funny then. Compared to the Tomos, the CT70's, Honda copies, MB5's, even the Derbi that is about the size of the CY200's in this group, everyone still wants to ride the scooter. We call it "The Cadillac." It will also stay with the bikes in the twisties and when not dragging the center stand, it will corner with the best of them. Be careful with the old men on the scooters, some are fast and will surprise even the seasoned rider. This one will run 72mph on flat ground, gps measured and we have less than $1000 invested in it including the pipe and the work. I'd like to pick up a Vespa but never see any cheap enough for me to want one.
