I totally understand what everyone was saying about the brittle plastic and the not-comfy seat. I have a saddle nicknamed "Two 2x4's on edge" for its riding comfort, but I think this seat has it beat. And that's just my opinion after 5 minutes. We dumped a LOT of plastic out of the gas tank; I can't believe they don't take a second to dump those out of the factory. This bike does have an in-line fuel filter--very cool. My resident bike mechanic  soldered an extension onto the positive battery cable. It was too short from the fuses. I'll have to file down the front fender or put a spacer on the back bolt to lower it. Other junk--the horn is LOUD, it beeps when the turn signals are on, all the lights worked from the first (and there's an 'off' setting for them), & the gear indicator is nice for idiot newbies like me. I requested the MSO online from Viva last night. They say it takes up to 2 weeks.

beeping turn signals -- sweet... I've rode countless times with that signal on after a busy turn... not knowing it was on until the next turn or lane change. So I say - Don't be hatin' the beeper!!!!

Pauli,
The horn and the blinkers are not connected together, there is a separate module that beeps when the turn signals are on... We all have mixed views on this as it can be rather annoying and a good reminder, we went through this a few months ago, and how to fix it if you don't like it, I will try to find the post and repost it... In these here parts we refer to blinkers as winkers...

Ah ha! Where would we be w/o electrical tape, duct tape, baling wire, baling twine, gorilla glue, and a Leatherman!
Thanks, Ambassador, for the link to the previous thread. For now, I think the 'beeping winkers' (Sounds like a disease, hopefully no relation to the back-door trots) are a good thing for me. I'm sure in time I'll be ready to rip off the *#^*&@# thing, but for now it'll help develop good habits. Besides, people will already be staring at my PINK RIMS at stoplights. :P

We had the 56 tooth but went to a 45 tooth sprocket and are very satisfied now. Have fun!!!! I'm jealous, I wanted the colored rims but we just got chrome. Can't complain, the bike is wonderful.

Traded chores with the boyfriend...he changed the oil in the bike while I took his daughter to swimming lessons.
The bike started & runs like a champ! He rode it a little yesterday. I haven't yet since it was dark by the time I got home & I need all the advantages I can get! It does sound like my sewing machine. Doesn't take many RPM's to overrev it either. Hopefully this weekend I'll have some pics/vids to share. I don't have any regrets about this bike yet (in my whopping 2.5 days of ownership!). Still have to get it licensed & insured...waiting for my mso.

Your boyfriend got the better end of that deal. Changing the oil on these takes literally 5 minutes.
