I have heard of it - not listed as RX3 but I know a couple who used it on a MX bike with same engine.

I expect 15t is uncommon for a couple reasons.
First, ebay sources are close to $30 with shipping. That is quite high. Shouldn't be more than half that. Second, Zong stuffed trans ratios too close together and to high in the RX3 case. If wider, lower ratios are available, I'd like to source them as they would likely be so much more appropriate for the 300cc kit's wider torque curve. Third, I expect an MXer running 15t would likely run about 53t on the rear wheel on MX tracks if his bike has the same gears as the RX3. 60mph is a speed rarely seen on MX tracks because the turns are too close together. Maybe the MXers are running 15-inch wheels? 18-inch wheels with MX tires would be way overgeared for MX with the RX3 trans ratios. Are the MX bikes being used for desert racing where a higher top end can be used? Anywho, if you want a small sport bike or a road racer, the RX3 gears are just about perfect. There's a reason my 4 TWs use 3 different transmissions. People who have sampled all 3 on the same roads are simply amazed at the difference gearing makes. |

It fits the TT250, but I have no idea how that engine compares to the RX3.

Says it fits the RX3. Look closely at the pictures--one seems to have a brand symbol that maybe can be recognized and sourced that way. I'd hate to pay so much for a sprocket only to install it and discover it is made of hoop cheese. Ships from Thailand, but apparently claims to be a JT sprocket. More false advertising? Look closely at the 2nd picture and you can see a brand symbol, so maybe the real source can bet determined and someone with more experience with the brands in that part of the world can give us an idea about the product quality. |

This sprocket is $10 MY COST in China,
The price isn't terrible all things considered etc. If using this you NEED the correct locking tab etc or it has the ability to come loose as some have found out the hard way |

Gee, I'd post a picture if I knew how. Last several photo hosts I refused to pay when they demanded money more money more money ... . Anybody can download the pick and blow it up for a better view. It is the 2nd of the 5 pics available.
NZB, do you recognize the brand? Is it any good? I'd hate to invest in a new final drive only to have the sprocket wear out in 6000 miles, taking the chain and wheel sprocket with it. If it will last, I'd prefer to buy from you so you can make a buck. If it won't last, I'll stick with the 14. I don't know about a locking tab. It needs something, for sure. Mine fell apart so I used a generous amount of Loctite when reassembling. Do you have a locking tab and a pic of how it is supposed to go together? Then the rear axle nut fell off, and that used up all the Loctite. By the way, if you need an axle nut in a pinch most auto parts have a lugnut you can install flat side against the swing arm, with Loctite. Threads are a perfect fit. |
