To do 1000 miles I'd have to run the E-way most of the time.

I just hate riding the roads around here with so many idiots out there (southeast michigan = millions of people)
I live in Atlanta. I understand.

I was thinking about and realized that it should be a 1000km ride since most of our odometer are in km.

Don't look now but I'm serously toying with the idea of a trip. Toronto to Gatineau Quebec. If I made the return trip the same day it would be an easy bamboo butt. But if I did the trip, I think I'd take a day to test the bike out before attempting the return. Last weekend of the summer is next weekend, if I start early, go slow, stop lots, I'm 80% sure I'd make it both ways. Sorry for using the thread to talk myself into a ride.

Didn't member Jet_Tech ride over 1400 miles over 2 days from lousiana to Florida? I recall the thread, but can't find it now. He would be the first bamboo butt candidate if anyone.

I agree, and I would chip in. My ride would be from Toronto Ontario to Bouchette, Que. Highway 7 all the way. Not a 400 series. Not a speed ride like his. I google mapped Toronto Ontario to Bouchette, Que, but with dial up it's so slow I'll have to do it over several nights I got the miles but I want to make sure before I post something that's not true. I've already called ahead and I'm welcome to stay over so that part is already a go. I'd like to re-do my handlebar before I try it but it's not a stopper. Oh oh, I think it's time to start a new thread in the ride catagory. 8O
