Believe me, it gets hot, as in HOT I have heard of our hot season compared to a winter, but even when its 118 degrees Faranheit--that's around 50 Celcius for you metric types), you can still go out for errands and get things done, provided your car is air conditioned. As far as outside work is concerned, forget about it in the direct sun, and drink plenty of fluids, or do it at 6 am or after dark in the evening. Kinda like your winters, but its dry, and the heat seems to last much longer. [/b]

i drove though yuma, i think on a trip from s.d. cal. to gallup n.m. forth of july weekend 1995. i had a flat tire on a car with no air in mid-afternoon.not a pleasent time,but i enjoyed my time there otherwise

As Culcune said it's damn hot out here. As for grass in my area, the stupid rabbits eat it faster than it grows. As for the trip, I think it's being pushed to the end of March/beginning of April as that's when the wife's planing vacation.
