My dad would have just said, "Are you that stupid?"

Lol. Well, he's graduating High school on Thursday, and has been doing college courses at Savannah Tech. But, he's had to go to the high school for the last week, and didn't want the other kids to see the car. lol. I just wanted him to leave high school on a high note.

A pair of generic carbon brushes.

The heater fan blower of my T5 Vw Transporter died and since I`m driving an RHD van in a LHD country the motor would have to be imported and cost me almost 400 eur. I took the one I have apart and discovered one of the brushes is worn to a nub and the other is following close behind. The boffins at Vw made sure no one would fix it using an off standard size brushes so I bought the next oversize and just gonna file them down to size. Also perused some forums that said you cannot use a LHD motor as it`ll turn the wrong way, well what`s the issue there just knock off the turbine from your old motor, flip the brushes around there`s notches for the holders both ways in the bracket, swap the turbine and job jobbed. ~400eur turned to 20,05eur.

I've had my 08 model for 13 years now. I would actually keep it, but the 4 door was a better situation for the family. I plan to keep this one a LONG time!

You will be amazed at the ridiculously higher gas mileage and power compared to your older truck.

2012 Suzuki S40/Savage with about 3,000 miles.
I needed something light to ride in the city.
I will pick it up next Saturday in Austin.

I will do some basic airbox, exhaust and jetting mods soon.

it will be a while before I install the DR650 cam.

A new ECM for my '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee (lovingly called the Heep). Nearly $300 for a 24 year old vehicle I only use as a beater with a heater (and really good A/C, this is Georgia, after all) stings a bit. It's going to need a new transmission before too much longer, too.

Something every pet parent dreads...choosing an Urn for their furbaby. We lost one of our cats on Friday night. And we returned to the Animal hospital today to start the process of having her final resting place sorted.

My complete understanding and sympathy, Darkrider. We have an entire shelf on our bookcase dedicated to the fur-babies of years past. It's tough, and we'll be thinking of you and your family today.
