Friday: Winter wheels and tires for the Previa as well as an older Supercycle XTI-21 mountain bike

Yesterday: some bike tools and parts for the Supercycle and wifes Raleigh. Some wheel nuts for my Chevy C10.

Only posting today about them due to crashing like the dead after working on the bikes last night lol

I forget the name of that movie, but it was funny. An old man in a small Irish village dies, but wins the lottery a few days later. The town takes his ticket and tries to convince the lottery inspector that the winner is still alive and well. Worth a watch.

After having one of these in my front, right pants pocket, every day for the last 51 years, (got it as a gift for my 12th birthday from an uncle), two weeks ago it vanished.

I've been checking everywhere, including the bottom of the hamper, house, shop, garage, tool boxes, vehicles, you name it. It hasn't turned up.....so I had to order another. Feels like I lost an old faithful friend. It's amazing how many times I reach for it in my pocket to tighten a screw, open a package, or tweeze a tiny metal sliver out of my finger after using the bench grinder or other tool. I'll try to hang onto the toothpick longer this time around.

A tire for my kid's car. He hit a deer a few weeks ago, and the shop can't get the car in until July. He's embarrassed to drive it around, so we swapped vehicles. At my job, we park in a gravel lot. Of course, the dang tire picks something up, and I get a low pressure light on the way home. His car, unlike my truck, just gives a light. Doesn't say which tire. doesn't give pressure. (He has SYNC3 in his escape. I have SYNC1 in my F150. My truck gives far more information than his "better" version of infotainment). I figured I can make it home, and get it on the big compressor, as both my travel compressors are in my truck.

Half way home, in the back roads, I hear a rumbling, and figure it was the tire. Apparently, whatever was in the tire was enough to bleed the air out quite rapidly, and got chucked out by the time I got pulled into a gas station to change it out. I couldn't find anything. Unfortunately, I drove too far on a completely flat tire, and destroyed the sidewall on a 2 month old tire.

Ordered a new one through tire rack, and filed a claim on that free tire protection. I don't even get all my money back for the tire. Only about 20 dollars short, if you don't count the tax and shipping, but still... I'm kinda upset.

That is the one thing that is missing over my old knife. This was the one I actually had.

Ok, reordered the correct one. Thanks for refreshing my memory, Huck. I'll gift the classic.

I can't help but chuckle though. You had me at "He's embarrassed to drive it around, so we swapped vehicles." Yer quite the dad. I can't imagine going to my dad and saying "Yo, Pops. I need the Lincoln. I wrapped my car around a deer." I don't even think I would have gotten the over-the-reading-glasses look on that one LOL!
