That bike turned out amazing, and the story that goes with it is equally so lol.
You get a huge thumbs up from me for putting the effort into a classic Honda bike that most people would have simply sold for scrap. I have rescued quite a few myself, though none were as bad as yours. It's rewarding, and rather fun, once you are finished.

A couple things ‘sold’ me on this bike. The blue color. It’s an amazingly pretty blue and I had a CB360T way back in the day that was the same color. Super hard color to duplicate evidently, as it’s a 2 coat process. Called Sapphire Metallic Candy blue I think.
Second, this bike was unmolested as far as wiring and lights, seat etc go. The tank had some rust but I was able to clean it well. The chrome also had rust but it polished off pretty well. The turn signals and shocks are the worst, very pitted. But over all this bike cleaned up well. I tend to look for that when getting these old ones. The engines are actually the easy and cheap part of the whole process.

Thanks! I will add, these bikes are kind of still being produced and sold - in Asia! The CG100 and CG125 is essentially this bike! So, for example, my left side cover is a brand new CG125 side cover and I got the set for 19$ from China (the other side doesn’t fit as the CL100 has that high exhaust, so I repaired the old side cover for the right side). And, many of the other parts can be gotten from China and Indonesia especially, and they are either OEM Honda parts or knockoffs. My guess is that, there are also Chinese knock off bikes of this bike too, over there. Probably can’t be sold over here due to emissions etc; same old story... but it’s at least a tie in to the Chinese bike forum and all the cool things you guys do too!

In Pakistan it is still in production by Atlas Honda Ltd. The Pakistani version resembles most of shape of original CG125. Two other variants, CG 125 Dream and CG125 Deluxe are also available with some improvements, the later one has 5 speed gearbox, front disc brake and wider rear wheel. In the UK, the CG125 is popular with learners due to licensing laws which allow a rider to operate a 125 cc motorbike with L plates by completing a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course.[1] Due to its design success, several direct copies of the CG125 have sprung up (mostly from Taiwanese and Korean manufacturers), such as the Sym Wolf Classic, Kymco Pulsar 125, Hongdou CG125, Champ Commuter, Warrior Dispatch. In Brazil, due to emission laws from 2009, the engine has been redesigned with an overhead camshaft (bore and stroke also changed from 56.5mm x 49.5mm to 52.4mm x 57.8mm). Due to Euro 3 emission laws the Honda CG125 has been replaced by the fuel injected CBF125 in UK and Europe since 2009. Other manufacturers made overhead camshaft versions of CG125 engine with same piston bore and stroke (56.5mm x 49.5mm) to comply with Euro 3 emission laws and they are widely available.

It did originally (and still does) have the overhead cam engine. If I remember correctly, some time in the 1970’s Honda’s engineering department sat down and sketched out a pushrod engine specifically to be used in 3rd world countries where maintenance was going to be an issue. So, evidently the pushrod engines, at least after Honda became successful, are a retro design and came after the ohc engines with the timing chain and etc.

Here’s a link for Sanyang. Looks like the 150 is essentially the Honda 125/100 CB, CL, etc from way back. Also their history is really interesting. Definite tie-ins to Honda. Thank you for the info!

I actually can see that button, but again, it limits my file sizes to 19.5 whereas before they could be really large. It actually reduces them when I try it. I dunno...

Finally, a ride!
The weather warmed up today and so took the bike for a pretty good ride. Has a top end bog... will figure that out, maybe needle needs raised or dropped. Has a small oil leak from right behind the cylinder. Shoot darn. Will have to remove the engine, or lift the cylinder up a bit or take it off and regasket, and/or get some Indian Head shellac gasket maker in there. Let’s see, actually ran pretty darn good! Enjoyed the ride and really like the little booger.
Also, talked with my local Ace Hardware store. They can computer scan my tank, or a shock or another part that has the original blue, then mix me a can of spray paint for about 15$. I can then get the side covers looking very close to original. Won’t be that fancy 2 layer metallic but will be fine. Then maybe spray them with some clear coat and will be looking pretty good! Won’t touch the other parts that are original paint. Also this is what my screen looks like when I go to make attachments, which are JPEGs.

Loosened the head bolts, etc and raised the cylinder assembly enough to get some sealant between the cylinder base gasket and the block. Reassembled.
Took a good look at carb jets. Evidently carb 1, the one I had on the bike, has some Chinese jets in it with no sizes stamped in. Carb 2, the one that looks in bad shape, has the correct jets in it. Well, has a 98 main (calls for a 100 or 110) and 38 idle (calls for a 40). The Chinese jets were definitely smaller. This should cure some of the problems with it not revving up I’m thinking. If it doesn’t run right I’ll order a rebuild kit. Maybe tomorrow finish reassemble and see how she runs. And/or leaks...
