I have a mate living near me from Utah - He is going back to the USA for the summer holidays so he can take stuff n post from Utah.
I am also looking at doing a 7 filter kit USD$49.95 6 paper oil filters and the small road filter PLUS either an large mesh filter, Air filter or fuel filter.
Kit could be adjusted possible if needed or how would be a suitable way to sell filter kits in your opinion?

I bought a 6-pack of filters from CSC when I bought my bike. Odd as it seems, I don't just change filters every oil change. Still have 4 left and the bike came out of the first container opened in America. Any oil I might use is compatible with the others I might use, so contamination isn't really a problem. Oil filters are expensive. I inspect filters when doing changes and if no evidence of excessive crap, back in they go. Of course, the wire mesh filters get a good cleaning. Back in the olden days I even had car filters possible to repack with toilet tissue. Never a problem. Now, if you don't know what you are doing (the old fashioned way) better to stick to the recommended maintenance schedule so you don't void your warranty, and feel guilty for all the excessive environmental contamination you cause changing filters when you are supposed to.

Around 300 miles past 2 days, bringing total with 300 kit up to 700 or so. Things are breaking in well. About the same power at 9000rpm as the 250 jug and plug, but enough more to notice from idle to a lower rpm peak just shy of 8000rpm, then falls back to about stock power at 9000rpm, which used to be the peak. Think wider powerband. Lots wider. Not really a huge power increase, but a huge powerband increase. 30mph up 4% grades in 6th gear, whack the throttle and smoothly accelerate. Flat road with overpasses WFO used to be 70-80mph uphill and downhill, respectively, 70mph flat. With the 300 kit, 75-85 uphill and downhill, respectively, 75mph flat. Therefore, the top end has increased about 5mph. I am very satisfied with the performance of the kit. Very happy I did not mess with the ports--head and cam works great as is. Haven't done a thing to the EFI, took a few miles to overcome a low speed miss, now running well.

Only complaint is gear ratios are now way to close with widened powerband. Some speeds can be run in 5 different gears, no problem. If I can find a wrecked RX3 and salvage the engine for measuring I'd like to look in to machining a new set of transmission gears. Lower 1st and 2nd gears will take some of the additional torque off that part of the transmission and clutch. Anyone with access to an RX3 trans if you count the teeth on each pair of gears I can get started on the math for a new gearset.

Think you could find a 6 speed gear set that would work on the Hawk's CG250?

Yes but 6th would be the same ratio as your old 5th( CB250 has a 6 speed)

That would be a lot like an XR200; the extra gear is sandwiched in between 2-3 or 3-4 (can't recall which). It doesn't provide an OD, but does provide close-ratio shifting. I suspect that an XR200 trans would be a drop-in deal.

From some of the research I have done, 1st through 5th were the same and 6th was higher. That was on a CB250. I'll have to see if I can dig that up again. My concern would be could it be an easy swap? Or is it completely different? I never seen a 6 speed CB250 personally to compare the internals of the transmission.

Edit: Here are the gear specifications.
6 Gear-Primary 3.33 1st Gear 2.909 2nd Gear 1.867 3rd Gear 1.389 4th Gear 1.15 5th Gear 0.95 6th Gear 0.80

5 speed specifications- "Primary: 3.333; first gear: 2.909,Second gear: 1.867; third gear: 1.389,Fourth gear: 1.150; fifth gear: 0.9545 "

Interesting! I have a CB250 in pieces that I've never ridden; I just assumed it was a five speed like a CG motor. When I find it, I'll check into the ratios.

Thanks, would just have to verify all the dimensions.
Opps, Sorry for getting off topic. Thought I was on a different thread.
