If you don't mind spending 20 bucks or so on a new front fender like this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Off-...244719396.html

That would open up some airflow to the cooler.

Out of stock on the fenders but I loath the Storms fender big time anyway. It's nice and long, just long enough to shoot the rain out in front of the bike and up just high enough in a stream to hit you.

That was just an example of what I was describing. There are many fenders out there like that.

Hello and Happy Easter! I read this thread, and I had a couple questions...

1. Id like to order an oil cooler for my Hawk 250. I prefer not to buy anything thats going to take weeks to get here.

2. Is there an all in one kit (something I dont have to bend, build mounts etc)?

3. I went to Hawk250.com but couldnt find an oil cooler link.

4. Thanks for any info!

Nothing thats the one i bought and it came with everything i needed to mount and install it take your time with posituining caise those bolts are pretty long amd caused some frustration but i didnt feel like going to the hardware store after i had it halfway together also the brackets are really thin but ive taken it through some gnarly stuff and its still where i put it.

Absolutely. The only thing to take into consideration is what size cooler you want, and then where you want to mount it. If you have it mounted high like mine where it sits behind the front fender a bit, it might take a little shimming of the front fender rear mount(s) to buy it the space it needs.

Please post pictures of your bike...preferably in a new thread. This bike is not available in the states and has been talked about (and lusted after) for a few years now.

Your install looks really good. I’ve been planning to install a cooler on my Lifan. It looks like it was meant to go where you installed it and seems like the best place to reduce risk of debris damage. I do have some concern about the volume of oil in the sump decreasing too much when it is running since it would then have additional total volume. The check valve mentioned would address this since it would allow the additional volume to remain in the cooler, but when it’s time for an oil change, it seems that you would then need to drain the cooler itself in addition to the standard drain plug removal.

It might calm my concerns to just install mine at sump level and add a debris guard, but it looks really good how you have it installed.

Megadan: I like your thoughts on the fitted oil lines.
