Thanks ughmas!....
Right now, with the breather, Mikuni and pipe, I'm running a 25/110 and I changed the mixture screw to 1.75 turns out from 2.0 turns. It had a slight flat spot, wicking the throttle when downshifting. Once I changed the mixture screw and raised the idle to spec, it vanished.

Heck....now I can't remember if I moved the clip. I THINK I did to the normal "4th notch down"...but it's been a while now. I can tell you that at 3000', it's running great. The quick throttle response, roll-on through the jetting and mid-range surge has really expanded both directions on the power curve. I'll have to check the plug later...and the dang slide clip. I think I'm getting "some-timers".

So for your marketing what will you be calling this. " TT250 Phoenix " or " TT250 2LZ "

Love it ! Start selling them in san Francisco

PS don't remember, will you be adding the msjft console if available?

Thanks hertz9753. It was fun for sure and now runs so good...... Mrs. 2LZ and I are going out for her first run on it tomorrow morning. I'm curious to see how she likes it. I asked her last time out, "Memorize how it runs right now, please." She put the majority of the break-in miles on it so this should hopefully be interesting.

Success! :-)

Just got back from Mrs. 2LZ Inaugural ride! Went out for almost 3 hours of paved twisties and canyons. She loves it!

Comments:
"This is like a whole different bike...."
"It turns and handles so much more evenly."
"More power and the gears are stretching longer. Less shifting...much better top speed."
"Far more stable in the corners.........
"We're bonding...." (I especially liked that one)

I can tell you this, that bike sounds AWESOME with that pipe on it. Deep....

Once again, CSC has done a good job with this bike....but like all CB's out of box, it's not when you receive, it's the potential.

On to my next project............. ;-)

Mrs 2lz appropriately named

Chinese phoenix :

Fenghuang (simplified Chinese: 凤凰; traditional Chinese: 鳳凰; pinyin: fènghuáng) are mythological birds of East Asia that reign over all other birds. The males were originally called feng and the females huang but such a distinction of gender is often no longer made and they are blurred into a single feminine entity so that the bird can be paired with the Chinese dragon, which is traditionally deemed male. In the ancient Malay history of the Philippines, the bird is referred to as Adarna.

From wiki, was looking over what human being sited.

A Mrs phoenix as it were, is paired with the dragon (2lz).

Yes, its getting a bit thick , I know.

Great story. I'm glad for both of you that she's happy with it. I think what she enjoys as much as anything is the effort you went through to make her bike totally "hers".

Here's the paint. It's their "7578 flat black" but compared to the other flat blacks on the shelf next to it, the cap looked more of a deep, dark gray. I got it at Lowes but I'm sure it could be had cheaper elsewhere. In our area, the store choices are slim.

Thanks for the kind words gang...

Yep BB, now you know why Nor Cal burns to the ground every year....especially in our current state of drought.

i've been running the 43 on road and for commuting its a great gear. i have not yet tried it off road. on road it easily maintains over 60. in traffic it will follow behind cars and trucks at 65 on the flats. i hit 70 today with a slight tail wind on the flat and no traffic.

biggest advantage of the 43 is reduced rpm at cruising speeds of 55-65.

Well, that's almost exactly what I've been looking for. I've gone ahead and ordered the 43, and it should be delivered Tuesday. I'm excited! I should probably order a new chain while I'm at it.

Excellent news! I'm now second guessing the 47 but Mrs. 2LZ likes it aned that's what matters, huh? ;-)
I still think if the 45 comes available, I may go with that as a test but we don't have many open roads up here. I know it's running so dang well now it will definitely pull it.
