So what is the top speed exactly of DF250RTG? Some websites clain 60 mph, some 70 mph. I recall someone in this forum saying 80 mph. Which one is? DF250RTG is 100 lbs lighter then the DF250RTC. This has to be the reason why DF250RTC top speed is 5 mph slower than DF250RTG, according to ww.df-motor.com.

Batteries today are very good and if one failed on the DF it would be easy to push start.

Don't know what the top speed is of the DF250RTG as I have had mine only up to 65 or so MPH indicated. You want a high speed bike you should look at a larger displacement one.
The engine is a 223 cc 165FMM engine.

I think this a very good bike for the $1800 delivered.

I don't know of any current DF bikes that have a kickstarter. I think they all have the 223cc 165FMM engine.

Their dual-sport photos show one, but then again, does anyone actually sell their dual-sport? No one here seems to report owning anything other than their street bikes (including you). And as you pointed out, it seems more of a hassle to retroactively fit one if one were to be found, other than finding a DF dual-sport being parted out on Ebay.

Thanks for the information. The DF250RTG is pretty much the poor man's Kymco Spade 150. Identical in terms of speed and weight.

Is engine of DF250RTG reliable. Does the engine feel sketchy at high speeds. Does it power wheelie? Is it good in stop in go traffic? How does the exhaust sound? Is it on the louder side? Does this bike have good low-end or mid-end or high-end power? Sorry if I ask too many question.

DF250RTE might have a kickstarter and it in the picture but that might be the 167FMM engine at 229cc instead of the 165FMM at 223cc in the DF250RTG.

I don't think the 167FMM engine is EPA compliant in the USA anymore?

The DF250RTE is available at the same place where I bought my DF250RTG

Don't know what sketchy means.

I don't do power wheelies.

Does not have a problem keeping up in traffic.

It has a decent sound but not too loud.

It is a 223cc OHC engine
Manufacturer specs take with a grain of salt!
Max.Power(kw/r/min) 12/7000=16 HP
Max.Torque(N.m/r/min) 17.5/5500=12.9 lbf.ft

The Kymco Spade is a monkey bike. I have had several of those types of bikes.

Sketchy as in unsafe or dangerous at high speed. So 60 mph on flat with DF250RTG without redlining it. And 65 mph on flat with DF250RTG redlining? assuming it's on 5th gear (final gear). The DF250RTG ia only 3 inches in length longer than the Spase 150. It can be considered a mini street bike like the Groms and Z125. How much miles do you have currently on your DF250RTG? I'm leaning strongly towards buying the DF250RTG or the ADV 190.

Never have red lined the DF250RTG.
Unsafe at high speed? Motorcycles are dangerous at high speed.
Buy whatever you want.

Yes because these are chinese motorcycle not japanese motorcycle.

I just looked at the EPA/DOT list and the 165FMM engine is the one certified across their lineup for 2019. So, the kickstarter might be a no go for newest the dual-sport, if we even get any of the new ones.

Finally got the bikes to the mountains of Western North Carolina where the riding is great.
The DF by the UPS "shed".
