i dunno, there is a bike performance shop called coleman dynamics racing down about 10 mins from my house.. i totally forgot about their shop when thinking about all this.
they build racing dirtbikes for motox. Very good reputation.... I am thinking about this coming week taking a ride down there to talk to them about different options, or dropping the bike off for them to tear into the motor and get an idea of what they have to work with. That way they can figure out if and how much it could be bored safely, increase compression or stroke and work on the head/valves to increase flow... keep in mind that i'm not trying to spend a fortune, but if i squeeze another 5-7 hp out of this bike and spend a few hundred, thats not a bad deal. then i can put a 42 tooth sprocket on and gain a few more mph on the top end and still increase my accel from the extra hp and torque that a stroker makes...

They'll probably laugh at you and tellyou to get lost. These bikes don't have a rep yet - or I should say they have a bad rep because they're made in China. (even though LOTS of stuff is made in China that we take for granted now)

they wouldnt dare laugh at me or tell me to get lost.. they have had chinabikes there before...
they build some of the most premier racing bikes in the mid atlantic region.. but they also do something as simple as change a spark plug and oil in a yamaha blaster or a honda xr50.. i used to work next door to them at a hot rod fabrication shop... the guys that work there and own it are 3 brothers, they are all pretty nice guys, a little nerdy with engines, but overall really decent people.

Sweet!
One of our LF200's got stolen last year and I was checking out the exhaust on it today wondering if I could weld the muffler in place of mine. It looks to be a little longer, bigger diameter and larger exhaust port. I would really like to get a NICE aluminum pipe and muffler for it though IF I knew of one that would almost slip right in... Sorry to get off topic. |

The Viva is a nice bike! I can pick one up locally (semi-locally 75 miles) in Pittsburgh, PA for $999. It seems like a great deal. I should probably already have 2 of them.

Whew! Called Viva today, asking when my bike would ship...and the gal I talked to gave me a tracking number (so much for the e-mail from them!)...it's in Salt Lake, hopefully here on Thursday.
I was a little worried, thinking that maybe UPS Freight would have an additional bill for me, residential delivery w/ liftgate, ya know...so I called them, and they said it was all taken care of & that they'd call to set up a delivery appointment. Just a few more days! Maybe it was meant to coincide with my new health insurance kicking in on April 1? 8O

I went thru a powerline trail, rode around town and went thru the rear of my property.. all in good fun!
