need some thoughts please

i have a question for anyone intrested
after looking and pricing i am looking at 2 companys cpi and pitster pro both of the 250s cost the same but the pitster pro isnt dot legal but pitster pro has the ct 70 copy cpi has scoots and nice ones at that what should i look at the hardest

I'd only be interested if a bike is DOT certified.
Wouldn't buy one for off-road only.
