Hello, so i am looking to get street tires for my tao dbx1 but keep the original wheels. Has anyone had any luck with this or any recommendations for tires. My front wheel is a 70/100x17 on a 17x1.6 rim and my rear is 90/100x14 on a 14x1.85 rim. Sorry if this is silly im new to the pit bike scene

You wouldn't go wrong with Michelin. They make a Michelin Pilot Street 2 Scooter Tire 70/90-17 Front/Rear [43S] that would fit the front, and a 90/100x14 City Grip II to fit the back.

I cant find the 90/100x14 i can only find 100/90 or 90/90 would either of those work

The first number is width, and the second number is aspect ratio, just like car tires. So the 100/90 is slightly wider, with slightly lower profile.. The 90/90 is about same width, and slightly lower profile.

Take your pick. Personally, I'd go with the former. I am sure you have 10mm of swingarm clearance compared to the knobby on there, and I think it would look better too.
