Thumbs Up Seamonkey, new rider, Xpro Templar 250

Hello! My name is Seamonkey and I'm the proud owner of an XPRO Templar 250! Too much fun! I got it to see if I even liked dirtbiking, fully expecting to replace it or sell it in a year depending on whether I do or don't. But I just might keep it!

Current Dirt Bike Drama...

So I bought My XPRO Templar 250 but, unfortunately it arrived with a broken throttle assembly a few days ago, and I'm hoping someone can help me find an after market one. I already alerted Xpro USA to the issue and they're sending me a replacement (which may take weeks to get out here in the middle of nowhere) but, I'd rather just upgrade that component, and figure I'll need to replace them often enough due to droppages. Can anyone help me out?

Welcome aboard! We have a few members that can help you out with the correct throttle upgrade. I'm sure they will chime in. Take a look at the sticky at the top of the dual Sport section.

Thanks! That is the thread that caused me to sign up for ChinaRiders! But, there was no info about throttles, I'm afraid. I'll get it figured out, though. And then I'll post an update with info about an after market throttle holder, and assembly.

Mine came with a broken mirror when delivered.. I contacted PSM and they shipped a replacement with a round mirror lol. I contacted them again to express my dissatisfaction and they credited me the cost of a replacement pair that exactly matched what came stock off Amazon. With that being said, most of the parts can be found on Amazon or Ebay, just match up as best as you can and make sure it has free shipping/returns in case it doesn't work.

Welcome, friend! The Templar X is incredible! And way too cool to be so cheap.

I've been riding over a year now but I started with the CSC TT250. Had the same mindset of just wanting something affordable to try it out, didn't want to hunt for an old bike and couldn't even test ride it since I'd never rode before. Always thought dirt bikes were cool, and had imagined myself on a dual sport for at least 15 years. Never had interest in sport bikes or cruisers.

The Templar X is a way better bike than the stuff I always imagined myself riding (CRF250L, XT250, KLX250, etc.). And so, so, so much cheaper. If you plan to register it for road use, have Xpro send you a title that does not say "offroad" on it.

Instead of off road, it needs to have "motorcycle" on the MCO

I'm not sure what other folks' titles said, but mine upon arrival said offroad motorcycle, so I had to ask them to remove just the word offroad. If it says "dirtbike" or "moped" or "santa's sleigh" then definitely have them adjust appropriately.
