Dirt! 45 Miles from Grand Central Station
Took a nice ride today. I actually found dirt 45 miles away from Grand Central Station. And a good amount of it. Lots of wilderness and seclusion.
not sure I should share the exact road but it’s probably known by everybody in Dutchess and Putnam County already anyway. Play by play: Took the motorcycle off the RV at the local Walmart. road about 10 miles on the tar then got onto the dirt. it was quite variable. There was gravel like in my pictures. I took the picture in the gravel area because that had the best view. The rest was very close down by trees so you couldn’t see much other than that. there was gravel, loose gravel, some good little hills, very twisty, tiny spots of mud which I assume get bigger after rainy periods. I saw one other vehicle and a bicycle. That’s it. there was no traffic on the road at all. The one other vehicle was parked. stopped at a roadside gas station that had some seating for a little second breakfast. Overall: Not the longest ride in the world, but it’s nice to be able to get that deep into the woods and onto dirt 45 miles from Grand Central Station. That’s really something I think.
