Icebear Champion to reg in Connecticut

For those owning or buying an Icebear Champion 125 and are planning to register it here in Ct , be aware that you MUST bring it to the main branch Wethersfield for a safety inspection !!!! Reason , the manufacturer Huzhou Daix Technology Trade Co is NOT on CT’s manufacturers license list , so skip going to an emissions station for the vin verification like I did , that will be done at the DMV now . What a PIA !!!!

You might be the one owner that puts these in the system in Conn. But, it sounds like a pain for you to have to do. Who did you buy the bike from?

Cajonmaddogs would have been a little more helpful as far as registering the bike since they deal with people from nearly every state, but I do understand the bikes are EPA/DOT legal for 49 states, so you should eventually have it all sorted out.

It’s not where the bike came from that was/is the problem , it’s the name of the manufacturer that is on the title , that make is not on their list of manufacturerd , therefore they have to see/inspect it for lights/horn/blinkers/etc.
Highly doubt Cajun had anything to do with CT DMV

To be clear , my bike IS from Adams Vintage Motorcycles / Cajun Mad Dog . They / he is NOT on CT’s “ Manufacturers License list” that would and could be issued to you by the state of Ct , which would then allow the bike to be reg’d with NO inspection .
This not only Cajun , I checked a few others that sell the IB 125 , they also are not on the list , so in short , if you buy a Champion 125 and want to reg , you will have to bring it to Wethersfield for the safety inspection first .

He has been generally helpful getting out of state customers pointed in the right direction. But, perhaps, Icebear started using a different OEM, hence the hiccup.
