Bought a project

After looking and looking for a decent priced adult size go kart, my kids are tall, we opted for the project machine. No idea of the year, but it's a Hammerhead 200. The engine runs, that's about it. It's definitely not the original. It's a GY6 that's all I know. It has a kick start also. My question is can I take the kickstart off? What parts do i need to delete that? I also have the clutch in the floorboard. Any links to where I can buy the correct clutch parts, forward and reverse. The guy I bought it from also said something about the shaft being too long. Our plan is to completely strip this down, replace everything needed, upgrade the engine parts and repaint. Thanks for any input.

Project seems to be an understatement. I can't seem to find out any info on the reverse gear box I have and after starting to tear down the engine, the GY6 output shaft is smaller than the output shaft that came with the reverse i have. There is also an issue with the axle sprocket location. If I buy a new output shaft and new reverse gear, the sprockets will be several inches off. Apparently the Hammerhead GT200s had internal reverse in the case.
