ATV starter issues
Having some issues w/ MY SMC 250 cc ATV. Battey is new from the box, and it starts when I spray starter spray on the air filter but as soon as it runs out of spray the engine dies. It has a Keihin Japan carb. What is the first thing I can check?

To see if fuel runs out of the tank, and, if it does, then open the float bowl drain screw to see if the fuel is getting to the carb.
Running on carb or contact cleaner for a few seconds is usually indicative of a fuel problem. |

jets
you jet is plugged..... from old gas... see youtube videos... on how to clean jets... use a SMALL WIRE.. and push it thru the jet. it is plugged.... and it WILL GO THRU .. this is the problem... carb cleaner does not really do the job if plugged... believe me... the best way is with wire... I have done hundreds of carbs for people... use premium fuel... or fuel stalizer... it works..
