anyone that has done mods to their china bike......

I think it would be cool to get some people that have done some mods to their bikes aka:

Pod filter

changing sprokets and chains

exhaust

gas tank

lockable storage or tank bags

changed tires

if we could get those people to do write ups, we could put that info into the tech info section of the site... I will personally be doing write ups with pics as i do them each to my bike. But if anyone has anything to contribute, write it up and let frostbite know so we can expand the info section on modding these bikes

Loctite is a must. Or you can consider it the first and most important mod.

Exhaust is where these bikes are held back. Once you're able to get air out, it's all about getting more gas and air in.

Loctite is a given,,

I first checked loctite but switched to storage because.. Loctite is part of the DS bike prep thread and not a genuine mod. Storage is always an issue for any bike. There is only so much you can carry in your pockets, before it starts falling out.

yea i threw loctite in there as kinda a joke.. its a mod, but more of a prep then a mod.. oh well.. i voted for exhaust.. i think it seems like these bikes need a lil bit more oomph...

hell, break it in like you stole it! thats how i broke my 03 zx6r ninja in.. bouncing off the rev limiter thru every gear as i left the dealship.. the coating handnt even worn off the tires yet..

rode it like a madman for 15 mins all the way home from the dealer.. then the next day did another 30 min ride just riding hard on it...

next day did an hour ride a lil less hard but still giving her a workout.

once i was done, two of my buddies who had 600cc bikes went on a ride with me, i burned them like they were standing still.. so we went to a bike meet and met some guys who had kawasakis. I raced a guy with the exact bike as mine, and i burned him pretty bad too.. even from a 3rd gear roll just full on throttle... you could tell my bike had more power by far...

so that makes me truely believe that if you ride it like you stole it, its going to have more power...

I actually believe that you should ride it the way you are going to ride it when its already broken in. If you plan on going off roading, do that to break it in. If you plan on street riding in traffic, break it in that way, if you are going to corner carve with street tires, do that..

just my .02.
