Aftermarket CDI on grom clone.

Hello there, new to the forum and happy to be here! I just bought a 2020 boom Vader and I’ve been doing a lot of research on this bike and found that’s it’s pretty good quality for what you get. Now that being said I am a professional mechanic and I’ve worked on plenty of motorcycles. I own a 2002 rm250 and a 1999 Yamaha blaster both built up from the ground so I’m not worried about working on this new bike but I am worried about getting this thing dialed in correctly. I want to do a genuine mikuni vm22 carb, new bars, exhaust, gearing all that. But there’s one thing I’m curious about if anyone else has tried, installing a aftermarket cdi box and working out the bugs if any.
