CG Engine

Anyone know it the CG 200cc engine uses the same parts as the CG 125, 150, 175.

I am also having a hard time finding a parts book for the CG 250

It depends on what parts you're needing, what are you looking for?

What Franque said is pretty accurate, it really depends on the parts. From all of my time looking at CG parts, I have come to the basic conclusion that the 200cc and 229cc versions of the engines have more unique parts that don't directly share with the smaller 125 and 150. Even between each other there can be differences. The 229cc engine having the most bespoke parts, which is not too surprising since the design was expanded to nearly double the original designs displacement.

The good news is that most of the parts for any of these motors is easy to find.

The 229 has a larger bore spacing, so the cylinder will not fit a 200. Not sure how much interchangeability there is between the 200 and the smaller displacements. I suspect that everything on the drive side of the crank and in the transmission is the same for all models.

Weldangrind, Megadan and franque, thank you for the reply.

I now have a CG 125 150 175 parts books and one model type CG 250.
Still no CG 200 parts book.

CG 150 175 use all but 14 parts from the CG 125.

CG 250 engine is still using many CG 125 parts including Bearings and Seals

I'm not sure what country you're in, but I've never seen it heard of a CG175 in the US, if you're there. If you are, I'd recommend sourcing a CG200 or 250 motor.

Also, parts books aren't something you're likely to come across in the US, either, as the CG was only ever sold by Chinese companies in the US. Said companies aren't exactly known for their documentation in English, and I would imagine that some things vary by company, in particular part numbers.

You might be able to contact CSC, as they import for Zongshen, or perhaps PitsterPro, they have good customer service.

CG Engine

I now have many parts/assembly books for the CG Engines and my 150's are now 200's

The Hawk style CG engine has many parts from the CG125 engine and some CB parts are used to.

Also I did not know you can get a CG engine with 6 speed gearbox I don't understand why I need 6 but I am going to give it a try.

It is a CG 229. They are also working on larger cc engine, somewhere near 300. I may post more on my website about the build.

What's your website? I have an NX125 (Honda CB motor with electric start and 6-speed) and I'm trying to figure out CG gearbox dimensions to determine compatibility. I also have access to IN Honda (their parts catalog in the States). Is that something you'd want to collaborate on?
