Not mechanically talented need help!

Had my hawk delivered yesterday , seems to be an issue with the shifter lever , either it leans while being delivered or they assembled it wrong. There’s no room to shift it up and it won’t shift down , I’ll supply a pic so that maybe someone can assist me so I can’t get this thing going..!!
Thanks , MikeD

Looks like it got bent inward. You will have to bend it outward until it clears the case.
Here's a picture on how much clearance you should have. You may want to remove it from the bike so that you don't bend the shifter shaft.

What about not shifting down you think it’s because it’s in the down gear and can’t go anymore, as far as the bending , that’s a pretty important area by me bending that outward you think I could damage the shaft that goes into the gearbox???

Wow yeah totally different looking yours is way out maybe I’d be better buying a new lever instead of bending it ???? Can you give link to buy one the one that’s on YouTube is sold out

Remove it from the shaft and put it in a vice to bend it back. You may have to adjust the position of the shift lever up or down to get it in the right position that will be comfortable to you.

Thanks for your help , the clutch handle came broken also the bike must have leaned actually it did I have video of the driver having problems with the bike, but the shift lever to get that to go up and down does the clutch need to be engaged or it doesn’t matter I’m only asking cause as of now it’s not going down probably nothing to go down too though

I would be contacting the seller about the damages and have them send you new parts

Yeah I did do that I took pics , it’s seems a lot of people end up buying the new arm that actually bends inward if it hits something, still I’m wondering when it’s in it’s Down gear what happens if you try to shift down u know with the bike off obviously cause it’s not going down my main concern by them bending that inward that somehow it damaged something inside when I look at the bolt or pin the lever is connected to it looks fine not bent I dunno I’m just imaging the worst I guess

Hopefully the shaft didn't get bent. You should be able to have some movement in the shift lever. Like MD stated, take pictures and send to the dealer to get replacement parts. In the mean time I would pull the lever off and bend it back then reinstall to make sure the shaft moves and isn't jammed in any kind of way.

It may not be going down any more if it is in first. And.with it up so high might not be able to go into any up gears. Remove it and bend and reposition it.
