GY-5 DB? huh?

Can someone clear up the differences in the models? I hear so many different names for the same bike with different parts

I have a 2008 Lifan LF200GY-5 (DB-03)

*Does the DB stand for disk brakes?

It would be nice if there was a list of the differences between the models and names.

Thanks!
Eric

There really is no such thing as a specific Lifan model when you talk about China bikes. The bikes vary from dealer to dealer because the importer decides how the bike is configured, using the available options available from the manufacturer.

I have not ever heard of a Lifan being called this. DB-03 may mean you have a Roketa, but it's not a Lifan.

I think "DB" means "dirt bike" If you look at alot of the ads from people with several types of bikes, the dirt bikes are listed in their ads as "db-01" "db-02" and so on. I think its just how they catalog at their store.
