I've tried all kinds of synth oils in my CB's and their clutches seem to like the dyno oil best so that's what I run. I buy beer with the extra $$$.

Meaning from dinosaurs without synthetic treatment. IOW, conventional oil. I use Rotella 15W40 year round, mostly because it's usually on sale somewhere.

Rotella T4 15W40 is pretty much all I use on both of my bikes. The only thing I tend to do differently is also running a 16oz. STP Oil Treatment mixed into the gallon jug. I mainly do this in the summer months because it's a 50wt base stock oil, and the additive package also increases the ZDDP content of the oil (good for flat tappet style valvetrains) and helps with thermal stability in the hot months.

The main thing to look for is JASO MA on the bottle. Most of the Rotella lineup is, but make sure to read the bottle. If your engine is broken in and you are dead set on running a synthetic, then Rotella T6 5W-40 is JASO MA certified synthetic, and I have run that in my Goldwing with no problems. I went back to standard T4 15w40 because the transmission was a bit notchier feeling with it. Otherwise, the bike ran great and I had zero clutch issues.

I've racked up over 75K miles on different bikes using Rotella 15W40, I did try the T6 Rotella 5W40 in my TT 250 for a short while but I experienced clutch slippage in the cold weather until it got up to operating temperature so I switched back to the 15W40 and haven't had a problem since. In my opinion for the money you can't get a better oil.
