Crf exhaust and mikuni carb

Vader 125

Ordered a CRF50 exhaust because I've heard they bolt right up. Hoping it goes well! I'll also be getting my mikuni carb tomorrow. I plan on going with either the 100 jet or the 105. Still not sure which cause I have the stock exhaust with a drilled pipe. Probably go with the 110 if the crf50 exhaust works out. Will definitely post pics when it's done!

Just wondering if a 50 exhaust on a 125 could be to restrictive ?
the 125 has 250% more swept volume than a 50..

If it turns out to be restrictive, it'll be easy to sell again. There are plenty of horizontal Honda clone performance exhaust systems to choose from on eBay.

Yeah I could be, the reason I ordered it is because a moto blogger has the same one on his Vader. Stock exhaust on the Vaders are really restrictive. If it doesn't work out I'll just sell it cause I drilled out more holes on the stock exhaust and man does it sound nice. Also changed my jet to a 87. Running better overall but lost top end speed. Still not going to push it because I'm still breaking it in..

Got the carb in the mail today and the jets I ordered don't work. The markings on the carb say: H S Standard of Japan. Not sure which jet kit to get, any ideas are welcome. Name: IMG_2202.jpg

That's a Keihin clone. Go to www.jetsrus.com and try to match up the jets from your new carb with their pics. If you find a match, you can use the part numbers they reference and search eBay.

A Mikuni might be easier to find jets for.

Thanks! I got this carb off eBay. The description was: vm22 Mikuni carburator. I kinda got ripped off, I should have looked closer at the pics because they do show the brand on the side..should've know that $20 was cheap for a mikuni..

I've purchased new Mikuni carbs for around the $20 mark, so those deals exist. Beware of the K symbol, if you don't want a Keihin.

Do you have a link for the carb you bought?

I couldn't find the link on eBay so I took a screen shot of the one I bought. I did find jets for the carb but they're expensive! It's almost exactly like the stock carb on my bike minus the pet cock...and obviously the jets.

You might find jets at your local Honda shop ,they use a lot of keihin carbs on their bikes and you might get lucky .

Jrack, I have this carb available: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VM22-26mm-Mi...FWfO42&vxp=mtr

I bought it for a 50cc, but it was way too big. I presume it would be a better match for a 125. Interested? It comes with a pod filter.

I'm gonna have to pass, I'm sorry I haven't been on here in a while cause I've been waiting for my exhaust to get here. Sounds great and I think I'm going to up the stock jet again.
