Two bikes I most regret selling are:
1959 Vespa GS (VS5) with spare tire mounted in front of your knees and a spare gas tank that fit in the spare tire. Very rare. 1963 Douglas Vespa 150 (VBB) made in England. Even more rare. Only one I've ever seen. |

I've had a few toys as well both street and dirt and you'll laugh but the one I think of often is my 1982 YZ250 (I had it in the late 90s) with the radiator up on the handlebars LOL. Was the first motorcycle I restored so I had the motor reworked, the suspension tweaked to my weight and took real good care of the radiator setup to avoid leaks. And kept it clean as all get out, and how did that SOB pay me back? Blew my freaking knee out! Totally locked it out sliding and hyper extended it, turns my stomach to this day just thinking of it.
But I really enjoyed that little bike and it never let me down. Most fun I ever had on a motorcycle was a day of riding after a good snowfall. I swear that one day improved my riding 100%.

I sold Little Sweetie a few years ago, my restored gold 1972 CB175. The predicessor to the CB200 above. It was a sweet little bike, hence the name.
That generation GSXR was very cool, Ben! The original air/oil cooled GSXR1100 is still on my wish list.

I would love to build a 7/11 at one point....for those unfamiliar with the term...it is the GSXR 1100 engine in the lighter GSXR 750 chassis.

I prefer the 1100 because it had a more moderate seating position with the clip ons above the triple clamp, a higer seat, and lower footpegs. I am old ;-)
Plus the torque of the original GS/GSXR1100's was really excellent. I love how the tachs on those bikes started at 3000. When asked a Suzuki engineer said they left off the numbers 1 and 2 to save weight :-) In their day they were the baddest a$$ lightweight high performance bike of the day, by a wide margin. A true step forward in motorcycle design. Long since eclipsed but I like them. Make mine the red white and blue one. 1986.
