As an FYI, if the rotor is standard issue China 6 bolt pattern, a ninja 250 rotor will bolt right up. The ninja 250 rotors are a touch thickernel than the China issue, and can be had pretty cheap for a take off part on ebay.... on my rocket a db07a, the rotors are the same pattern and diameter as my 85-86 ninja/ex250 rotor on my supermotorcycle wheels aside from the ninja being thicker in the braking area, which should help the warping...

Bogie boy...something like this. Ebc high quality version. Of course cheap on ebay. Would this fit for rx3 owners?

https://www.amazon.com/EBC-Brakes-MD.../dp/B00666JOUO and check out the pads to go along with it for total $110.

it doesn't look like that particular rotor will fit, but any rotor for an 86-07 ninja front should work..... assuming the bolt pattern is the same.... I xan take measurements today to verify if someone can measure thier rx3....

If this turns out to fit, you should post up on the rx3 cross reference for all our friends

I know it will fit the roketa bikes with a 6 bolt rotor, I.e 99.9% of the bikes with USD forks... I was gonna swap my rotor onto the wheels, but like the look of the matchimg rotors front and rear on my ninja rimmed supermoto....LOL its the little things in life....

Nope, does not fit. Damn close, though! The Zong bolt pattern is 142mm center to center. I'm now the proud owner of a very nice bit of garage art.

Bummer, Peter. Is there enough material to elongate the mounting holes to make it fit?

Short answer...no. If you elongated the holes 3.5mm as required you would then lose the ability to center the disc on the wheel.

The Zong is not listed on any EBC info that I have found. That's a shame because the EBC disc is a quality bit of work...much nicer than OEM. Now I want to see if it will fit on my V7.

Yes...for $270 on sale. I had hoped to get better stopping power with an $80 rotor. Close, but no cigar.

yeah, it just isn't worth the investment. I am just going to buy a new stock rotor. hopefully by the time I go on another big trip, luke will have gained more confidence as a new rider. Technically speaking, he did the whole ride on a learners permit.

Scroll down to post #324. I'm hoping that this helps. I'll find out in about 3 weeks.

2LZ, I read your experience with trying to remove the rotor from the stock wheel.

I'm trying to do the same thing now with no success.

Tried a heat gun on max setting for 5 minutes, then used my battery impact driver. No luck budging any of the bolts.

I'm thinking of using a torch....

I ordered a new stock rotor and bolts from CSC, thinking I would never get the old one off.
