I think that's the worst example we've ever seen. I don't recall anyone else having to wait that long.

For me, I commute on my bikes, and being in AZ, I can expect to get a plate on the spot provided my paperwork is all there. If I had to wait and play games to get the basic paperwork, I would be very angry! My commute does take me through county roads and such, and let's just say that there have been times I have ridden the 16 miles without plates for a few days, such as when I bought my old TMEC used from a Californian who could not register it in his state, and I needed to commute so took the risk, but two months is about 7 weeks too long!

I FINALLY got someone to answer the phone - talked to Manny @ txpowersports.com in Arlington, TX. I explained to him that all I needed was the MCO and Bill of Sale. Mind you, there were no instructions or anything regarding this. Anyway, he said that I need to email him the VIN and he will send me what I need. So, here we go.. it's now a waiting game...

WOW.... I get home a few minutes ago and low and behold, the MCO was in the mail. So, it turns out that txmotorsports.com was on top pf it all along, but, for whatever reason, just couldn't articulate that to me. I would certainly recommend them, but, just know that communication with them is weird!

That's GREAT news! :-) Of course as we all know, there's always a bit of skepticism we learn to live with just being China riders. How good are the bikes? Will I be able to get parts? Am I stuck on an island with nothing but a palm tree, sea gull crap and a bike that won't run? etc.... It's always heart-settling to hear that one of us "mail order mongers" get what we were promised. After all, would we buy a car mail-order? I think not. We throw a lot of faith to the wind when we <click>.

How many weeks was it?

All's well that ends well.

It was 10 days from the time I received the Hawk until I received the MCO. Not bad at all. So, hopefully I will get to the DMV today and get it tagged!

This thread is 3 pages long, so I forgot who was the original poster (OP). I hope the OP is/was successful as well. I also hope he will give us an update.

Good news! Went to the DMV this morning in Marion County, Florida and got my Hawk registered and titled without issues. The only problem was locating the manufacturer (something about the company being registered with a 3 letter VIN, instead of the printed 4 letter???). I'm a happy camper

We do not, despite his promise that he would always be here from now on.
