Around town at 5300 ft, the stock gearing has been fine for me so far. But after break-in, I'll be riding the foothills and trails at 8000 ft and higher. I should get a 13t. Maybe we should do a group buy unless CSC orders a bunch.

So far I am happy with the how things work stock. I agree that a 13 tooth CS sprocket would probably make for better response on steep trails at lower speeds. Cheers, Dan K.

The riders from CSC, China, and Columbia started their 5,000 mile, adventure ride today.
http://californiascooterco.com/blog/ CSC is also developing a nice skid plate for the RX3. http://californiascooterco.com/blog/?p=17496

I bought the 13T C/S sprocket for my Zongshen RX3 at Taobao, which is the Chinese equivalent of eBay. The NC250 (ZS177MM) engine is employed by a number of different motorcycles. Of course, all these bikes also use the same C/S sprocket.

I feel your pain on the switch backs Cim. I found I had to use a lot of clutch slipping to get through the few sets I've ridden my RX3 through. Not a trials bike for sure. For most of what I do the gearing is fine. Just not hard core first gear technical stuff. rj

At Colorado elevations, you will notice a definite improvement in the engine's performance with a 13T C/S sprocket.

Any Imogene photos? Did you make it to the top? I'll be riding Imogene pre Imogene running race. My girlfriend is running and I plan to be assiting up top. I rode her XT250 up their last year no problem. I need to get down that way and pre ride it!
Eric, maybe we can get a CO RX3 group 13t sprocket group order together. |

Did my first oil change the other day.
I had to put at least 6 oz more oil than the manual calls for into the motor in order to get the oil to show at all in the view window. Anyone experience this? Where's it all going? Cheers, Dan K.
